Bulls Team Report

Yahoo! Sports - 22 minutes ago
  • The Bulls went through a full practice the day after losing on Monday to Philadelphia, a result that ended their 14-game home winning streak.
"We have to concentrate on each opponent," coach Tom Thibodeau said. "I think sometimes when you start looking ahead, you can get in trouble. You look at the finish line and slow down, that's no good. You have to sprint to the finish line."
It was the third straight game the Bulls got off to a slow start. They rallied to beat Memphis and Milwaukee last weekend, but after falling behind the 76ers by 23 points, never got closer than four in the fourth quarter.
"I think you want to make your corrections even when you win and we didn't do that," Thibodeau added. "Unfortunately, we lost. Maybe it does get our attention more, but I think the good teams are able to make those corrections after they win and that's what we strive toward."
  • Forward Carlos Boozer talked this week about the time he rented his Hollywood Hills home to legendary Minnesota-based musician Prince.
This was in 2006, when Boozer played for Utah. At one point, Boozer filed suit against Prince for making unauthorized changes to the home, including painting the exterior with purple stripes and installing purple monogrammed carpeting in the master bedroom. The suit was eventually dropped.
"He put it back the way it was before he moved out," Boozer said. "He did some very specific things that were built for him and his lifestyle, which is very different from mine. Needless to say, I sold the house, made a great profit and moved to Miami."
Quote To Note:
"I think Derrick Rose, definitely, is the leader. What he's done for that team, with all the injuries they have and them being first in the Eastern Conference—they're playing some really good basketball."
—Miami forward LeBron James, the NBA MVP the past two seasons, agreeing that Derrick Rose is the player to beat this year.
