NBA pix - 05-15-2011

Memphis   97    OKC    96     I love the Shane Battier factor

Miami   88     Chi    103    Chicago has only played two good games so far.  Even Thibideau will be ready for this one (I really appreciate him as the finest x's and o's coach ever; I think he has cost the Bulls about 10 games this year {8 regular season;  2 playoffs} because he stuck with his so-called "starting unit" way too long, in both the 2nd AND 3rd quarters.  I do not think the Heat to be an even "good" team.  It is at best a 2nd tier team, and "team" is too strong of a word to define it.  They should rid themselves either of Bush or LeBron, and if I were Pat Riley, I'd send LeBron back to Cleveland for some REAL talent.  This would sink Cleveland's chances of making the NBA finals for the next 15 years.

RESULTS to DATE:

Won 1     Lost   0

One game only tonight -- OKC vs Memphis

Classical example - two top tier teams - advantage goes to home court

Your note has been created.
If our nation's drug / alcohol / narcotic laws aligned with the practices of its citizens we would have:
(a) pot smoking legalized at 14
(b) beer and wine consumption legalized at 14
(c) cigarette smoking legalized at 14
(d) purchased of pot, beer, wine, cigarettes at 16
(e) crack and powder cocaine and heroin possession and purchase legalized at 18
(f) driving privleges granted at 18, subject to testing
(g) marriage licenses being granted only to those who both pass a personality profile examination to determine how well their core values and beiefs line up
(h) planned parenthood, most especially including prenatal, neo natal and mothers care, nutrition, child rearing, subsidized housing provided for the first 14 years of the child's life

SO WHY THE FUCK DON'T WE HAVE ALL THIS?

And if SARAH PALIN were to suggest as much, she would win 70+% of the popular VOTE!

LISTENING TO THE ANNOUNCERS OF THE 76ER'S @ MIAMI HEAT GAME YOU MIGHT

BE LED TO CONCLUDE THAT PHILLY HAS NO CHANCE.

AU CONTRAIRE, MONSEIUR.  PHILLY HAD MISSED 3 FREE THROWS, ONE 3' SHOT, AND TURNED THE BALL OVER ON A CRITICAL LOW POST POSESSION AND THEY ARE KEEPING IT CLOSE.  LEBRON WON'T SCORE - AND IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE PHILLY'S GOING TO FOUL. BOSH MADE A LONG JUMPER AND WILL BE LIKELY TO LOOK FOR THAT SHOT.  SO IT WILL DEVOLVE TO D. WADE VS A BASKETBALL TEAM ... AND AS GOOD AS D. WADE IS, HE JUST ISN'T THAT GOOD.

LOOKING FOR PHILLY TO UPHOLD AND JUSTIFY MY PICKING THEM TO UPSET THE HEAT.

NBA PLAYOFF PIX - 04-17-2011 - OUGHT TO BE SOME VERY COMPETITIVE GAMES

MEM   105   SAN ANTONIO  110     101-98
The Grizzlies are now 3-2 against the Spurs this season.

NO   99    LAL   103          109-100
With their tumultuous regular season finally a memory, Paul said the Hornets were almost unbearably eager for the playoffs to start.
Maybe that’s why New Orleans got the drop on the defending champs in a stunning series opener.

NYK   103   BOS   106       85-87
“We’ve got to find a way to win down the stretch,” Stoudemire said. “We had a great chance to win. We played well throughout the full 48 minutes. We just didn’t quite close it out.”

DEN   88   OKC   103         103-107

HAD THE BIG THREE OF MIAMI PLAYED B-BALL LIKE THIS ALL YEAR, THEY MIGHT HAVE GONE 82-0
